History of BioTour

In August of 2006, six friends (including BioTour co-directors Ethan Burke and Alan Palm) traveled from Massachusetts to Nevada fueling their bus with waste fryer grease from restaurants. The co-directors were amazed by the reaction from the hundreds of curious people wanting to know how and why; people ready for change but looking for direction. A lack of awareness about the impending challenges of peak oil and climate change inspired the two friends to transform and expand BioTour into a year-round full-time project.

BioTour has since traveled to 42 states and the nation's capital, giving presentations and bus demonstrations, providing green transporation, throwing creative entertainment and community events with local artists and musicians, and finding adventures as they explore the big cities and the hidden towns of America.
